A very balanced and constructive YouTube review of the first three episodes of the story. I’m a subscriber to her channel and submitted the comic for a “roasting”, which she did very tastefully.

If you’re also facing the same situation as the protagonist in the comic I feel like you can relate to them very well.

Deanna Destito very kindly featured the comic for ComicsBeat’s A Year of Free Comics series.

Even though it centers on students, we all can feel this one. Learning Zoom, figuring out how to keep busy when you can’t leave your house, and then feeling a little uncertain and apprehensive when restrictions were lifted.

I reached out to Eunice, a student from the Philippines who is studying marketing in Melbourne. She had some really nice things to say about the comic (although she didn’t have to of course). Thanks for letting me sponsor your video, Eunice!

It is so good for aspiring Australian students because it shows the life of an international student here in Melbourne … so if you are interested to study here in Melbourne, go watch that, because you will see the reality of life.

I also reached out to Yemurayi, a mechanical engineering student at Deakin University here in Melbourne. She is originally from Zimbabwe. I’m really glad that she let me sponsor her video and found things that spoke to her in this comic.

Another thing I really liked is how it really showed the feelings, what she was feeling, they made it as realistic as possible [to] what international students do go through.
